Continuing Our 60th Anniversary Celebration at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering
September 4, 2024
Monterey Car Week is renowned for showcasing some of the most exciting and groundbreaking vehicles in the automotive world. This year, the spotlight shone brightly on Meyers Manx as we unveiled our thrilling new lineup at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.
Aviation Meets Automotive: Introducing the Tarmac Touring Edition at Motorlux
Starting the week off strong at Motorlux, Meyers Manx used the official kickoff party of Monterey Car Week to unveil their limited-edition Meyers Manx Tarmac Touring Edition. Inspired by the golden age of flight, this limited-edition model features a sleek Gunmetal finish and aviation-inspired digital gauges.
At its core, a powerful radial engine —drawn from proven airplane technology— delivers over twice the power of our standard VW engines, giving the vehicle its unique exhaust note and unmatched pavement performance.
With just six vehicles in this exclusive series, the Tarmac Touring Edition is a rare collectible that carries the Meyers Manx tradition with a nod to the skies.

We continued celebrating our 60th Anniversary by showcasing a full new vehicle lineup at this year’s The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.
To highlight developments in our EV lineup, we were able to showcase production teasers for both the Meyers Manx 2.0 as well as the Resorter NEV at The Quail. In homage to the 60th anniversary of Meyers Manx, we showed off an Old Red 2.0,complete with the signature white marine canvas Bimini roof and green accents to pay tribute to the iconic original 1964 Old Red.
Alongside the EV production teasers, we were also able to premiere our Remastered Resorter in Rose Copper Metal-Flake to the public for the first time ever. Similar to improvements we made to the Remastered Classic, we used 3D scanning and CNC technology to ensure every curve and line of the Resorter is preserved while refining the mold and to ensure the fiberglass bodies it produces are even more precise. This not only created more rear-seat room in the Remastered Resorter, it also makes the kit easier for skilled home builders to assemble.
Last but not least, the Meyers Manx team was lucky enough to get the Tarmac Touring Edition out at the Weathertech Raceway at Laguna Seca. In the very capable hands of Bill Warner, the Grand Marshall, the vehicle was used as the ultimate paddock runabout while also very capably dropping into the iconic Corkscrew.
As we bask in the afterglow of Monterey Car Week, our excitement is palpable. The future is looking incredibly bright for Meyers Manx, and we’re eager to share more with you as we move forward. Our team is working tirelessly to bring these groundbreaking concepts to life, and we can’t wait for you to experience them firsthand.
