Meyers Manx at Las Vegas Concours: Our Electric Future on display
November 11, 2024
This past weekend, the Meyers Manx team brought a taste of our rich heritage and exciting future to the Las Vegas Concours. Among the luxurious classics and high-performance supercars, our three unique buggies — the NEV Resorter, the 2.0 EV Manx, and the Remastered Resorter from our Bespoke department — added a distinct splash of adventure to the lawn.
Each one represents a different chapter in the Meyers Manx story, and attendees were thrilled to experience them up close, particularly our new electric models, which combine timeless design with the latest in green technology.
The NEV Resorter: Casual Adventure with a Twist
Leading our display was the four-seater NEV Resorter, a buggy designed to embody the spirit of casual adventure that Meyers Manx is known for. With seating for family and friends, this buggy was built for those who live for the coastal cruise — where every drive is as much about style as it is about simplicity. Its relaxed, easygoing nature invites everyone to hop in, and it truly captured attendees’ attention as a vehicle built for shared experiences and leisurely journeys.
Highlighting the Future with the 2.0 EV Manx
The 2.0 EV Manx marked a step forward for Meyers Manx, blending our iconic design with cutting-edge electric technology. Attendees were especially excited to experience this buggy firsthand, getting a taste of how the classic lines of the Manx mesh seamlessly with an environmentally conscious drivetrain. This model signals our commitment to sustainability without compromising the rugged charm that has defined Meyers Manx for six decades. It’s the perfect buggy for those who want to explore without leaving a carbon footprint behind.
Resorter Remastered: A Tribute to Classic Design
Adding to our lineup was the Remastered Resorter, a stunning recreation of Bruce Meyers’ original vision, available through our classics department. With meticulous attention to detail, from the paint matched dash to the simplified instrument panel, this buggy is as close as you can get to Bruce’s early models built for hospitality operators. It’s a beautiful homage to our legacy and a perfect example of how we continue to honor the classic design that started it all.
Electric Adventures at The Valley of Fire.
After attendees of the concours had a chance to get a feel for our electric buggies, we set off on an unforgettable adventure the following day to Valley of Fire State Park. Taking our show cars off-road is essential to us, as our brand has been rooted in off-road excellence since 1964. Against the dramatic red sandstone landscape, our buggies tackled winding trails and open desert stretches, showcasing their versatility in some of Nevada’s most breathtaking terrain. The EV Manx proved its power and range, effortlessly handling the rugged landscape while staying true to its adventurous roots.
A Weekend to Remember
This weekend was a perfect reflection of what Meyers Manx stands for: blending the legacy of Bruce Meyers’ original dune buggy with modern innovations that look to the future of adventure.
From the coastal-cruising NEV Resorter to the forward-thinking 2.0 EV Manx and the timeless Remastered Resorter, our buggies turned heads and sparked conversations about what it means to drive a Meyers Manx today. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to celebrate with us, and we can’t wait to bring our spirit of exploration to even more trails, coastlines, and gatherings in the future.
